Mimi also discusses her background in care and community arts, which led her to humanitarian work, and reflects on the personal and financial challenges of volunteering. Mimi has volunteered with various NGOs such as Collective Aid and Refugee Community Kitchen, to provide crisis relief to refugees and migrants. Outside of volunteering, she runs Get It Done, a community arts organization that supports people to address issues in their local communities through creativity.
